Explore drawing outdoors with Miss Chelsea Morel in this series of workshops where students will get to study nature, improve their drawing skills, and have fun. Each class will introduce a new art technique, journaling style, a short walk for botanical and wildlife observations, and a visit to the parks long-time animal residents.

“It’s not art class, it’s life class, but you get to paint.” I can’t think of a better description for taking art class with Paula. I’ve been taking art classes with her since I was seven and no matter what problem I was having that week, Paula was always there for me to provides wisdom and if need some tough love. Her approach to teaching art has also taught me many skills that have helped not just in life but in school as well. Paula emphasizes problem solving skills, independent thinking, and diligence in art. For me, Paula went a step further and taught me listening and communicating skills, which I struggled so much with.

We use a step by step process to drawing and painting ensuring every person can learn to draw and paint. We focus on progress not perfection so our students learn through the process of art, not just the product.
